Some organisations have stories worth telling every month.

Why partner with a documentary filmmaker?

Most organisations commission video when they need something specific: a campaign film, an event recap, a fundraising piece. It works. But it means every project starts from scratch, and it often costs more in the long run.

This is different. A documentary content partnership means I work alongside your organisation on a continuing basis: finding and filming the human stories that matter, then shaping them into short documentary films you can publish consistently.

You get a filmmaker who understands your world, your people, and your story — not someone who turns up cold every six months.

How does it work?

Each month, we have a planning call to identify which stories are worth telling. I film on location (or edit from your existing footage, depending on the package), then deliver finished films: captioned, graded, ready to publish in both horizontal and vertical formats.

Every delivery comes with a short editorial note explaining what was filmed, why those stories were chosen, and how you might use the content.

The films are short (30–90 seconds), human-focused, and built for social platforms, websites, and internal communications. They feel like authentic documentary films, not corporate video: helping your brand or organisation to stand out and build trust with your audience.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Every partnership starts with a one-month trial at the full monthly rate — same deliverables, same quality, no lock-in. If the work speaks for itself, we move to a rolling three-month commitment with 30 days' notice to cancel after that. I'd rather earn a long-term partnership than lock you into one.

  • No. I make films: I don't write captions, schedule posts, or run analytics. If you need a social media manager, I'm not the right fit. If you need someone who can consistently find and film the human stories worth telling, that's exactly what this is.

  • Yes, though travel costs are factored in for locations further afield. Most of my clients are UK-based but I'm comfortable travelling when the story warrants it.

  • The Foundation package is edit-only, but if your archive is thin then I am happy to provide advice on how you and your team can capture content that we can use. The Core and Embedded packages include full shoot days, so existing footage isn't a requirement at all.

About Me

My name is Vincent, a documentary filmmaker and editor based in London. I’ve been making films professionally for over 8 years. I’ve created films for the BBC, Al Jazeera, Vinted, Google, and a range of charities and purpose-led brands including Royal Society of Biology, Canal & River Trust, and UK Research and Innovation. I recently completed my first feature documentary.

I have done all sorts of content, from large branded campaigns to feature films and YouTube content, but in all of my experience I have found my home in documentary films.

Stories shape our world (both internal and external), and documentaries, whether they be for the big screen or for social media, have an incredible power to shape the stories we share and tell ourselves. My commitment, both in my artistic and professional practice, is to human-led films that reveal truth.

I’d rather have a conversation than send you a proposal. Tell me a little about your organisation and what you’re trying to do: I’ll tell you honestly whether this is the right fit for your organisation.

I take on a maximum of three partnerships at any one time. I currently have two spots available. If any of this resonates then please get in touch at hello@vincentkavanagh.com
